Dear Barracuda Families, We are in unprecedented times. Your child's routines have likely changed substantially due to COVID-19. We understand that there has been a lot of questions about the upcoming swim season. Please be assured the coaches and executive have been collaborating over the summer to develop a return to swim plan that follows the safety guidelines set out by Swim BC and the City of Prince George. Our primary goal is to have as many swimmers return to the pool as safely permitted. We are faced with limited hours and occupancy at the pool and swim schedules will look quite different than in previous years. Due to the need to maintain social distancing, there will be new processes and procedures in place. In addition, we will be unable to offer instruction to the following groups: Swim School, D3 and D2C. We need to be aware that the situation is fluid and we are hopeful that we will be able to expand membership to these groups if/as restrictions ease. Information regarding registration will be released in the coming weeks. We understand the social, physical and mental health benefits of sport. We will continue to work together to ensure that we can offer a safe and healthy swim season for our swim families. Sincerely, The Barracuda Executive |
