I have been in touch with the Kamloops Officials director and they are looking for some officials for Friday June 8th.  I will be Refereeing and would be very proud to share the deck with other PG Officials on Friday.  Stroke, Turn, Timers.

 

I don't think they are looking for many, but it is always a great relationship builder when we can field a few officials at the out of town meets. 

 

Send me an email if you are able to officiate on Friday, and what position you would prefer.  It is always great to get experience outside of our own pool.

Just a reminder to everyone that the year end BBQ is this Sunday at Fort George Park from 3:30-7:30 pm.  If you haven't already done so please sign up before Thursday May 31st.  We need final numbers so we can purchase the food and drinks.  We will be at the pool the following days this week for card signing.  If you would like to donate to the coaches gifts we will be collecting for that as well on these days:

 

Monday May 28th 5:30-6:30 pm

Thursday May 31st 5:30-7:00 pm

Friday June 1st 5:30-6:30 pm

 

We are asking for each family to bring a salad, dessert or fruit and veggie tray.  The club will supply the drinks and burgers and hotdogs.  This is a fun event for everyone to enjoy...bring your water guns and lawn chairs please.

Yes, the Pisces Summer club is having a swim meet this weekend.

 

Yes, we will still be having regular practices, is the pool will be split into two 25m pools.

Just a small reminder that the last day of practice for the season is Friday June 29.

 

Everyone in Elite and Youth/National will be swimming past June 29.  Including those swimmers in D1 who are currently swimming with the Elite group.

269 [PGBSC Blog] Drivers start your engines

Would you like to test drive some vehicles?  Here's your opportunity… and you can earn funds towards your fund raising levy at the same time.   Please join fellow PGBSC parents at PG Motors on Thursday, May 31^st, at PG Motors (Ford, on Central) at 9:30 am.  We will be moving vehicles from the dealership to CN Centre in preparation for the Mega sale.  Then, in the afternoon on June 9^th, we will be moving all the unsold inventory back to PG Motors. 

 We will meet in front of the dealership and, for those of you who are new, you will receive instructions on what is required.  You don't need to know how to drive a standard and it really is a lot of fun.  Expect to spend 4-5 hours on the 31^st….less on the 9^th.   If you have some time available, even if it's not the full 4-5 hours or you can only do 1 of the days, we could certainly use you!

Hello everyone

 

Sign up sheets went up today for the annual year end BBQ June 3rd at Fort George Park. 

We will need a few helpers to make this event run a little smoother, if you are able to lend

a hand it would be much appreciated.  We are also asking families to bring either a salad,

dessert, fruit or veggie tray and the club will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken and veggie

burgers for everyone.  Please sign up before May 31st.  The dates and times we will

be at the pool to sign the coaches cards are posted on the bulletin board.

OUR YEAR END BBQ IS FAST APPROACHING....Sunday June 3rd Fort George Park Shelter from 3:30-7:30 pm.  Sign up sheets will be going up shortly.

 

As in the past years, we are going to be collecting donations of $5.00 to $10.00 per family to purchase gifts for the coaches, for their outstanding

work in coaching our children.  You are under no obligation to contribute to this collection, but we encourage all of the children to come and sign the

cards for their coach.  Donation and card signing can be done on the following dates and times:

265 [PGBSC Blog] INFO PAGES SIGNUP

A great fundraiser for those who enjoy lots of walking. Deliver Info Pages phone books, in Prince George.  Maps will be available for the various delivery areas. The areas will include anywhere from 750 - 1500 books that must be delivered, door to door, within a two to three week period. This fundraiser works best in teams of 3 people or more and is a excellent opportunity for the swimmers to participate in their family fundraising.  Depending on the number of people interested, more than one area may be available per family.

Please contact Marilyn King at travel@pgbsc.org to be added to the sign-up list or if you have any questions.  Delivery dates are not known at this time but will be provided ASAP.

Hi Everyone

There is a volunteer sign up sheet on the bullitin board at the pool for the 1500/400 time trial May 19th.

This will be a long course time trial using 6 lanes. Bells will only be used for the 1500 event.

Please sign up if your swimmer is participating in this time trial.
