Hi Everyone.

 

Just a reminder that today, Friday June 29, is the last practice for the season. 

 

Only Elite and Y/N will be practicing after today for the month of July.

 

Also, we will be starting our annual July summer camps for 12 and under kids this Monday July 2.  Information can be found on the website and on the bulletin board and the pool.

 

Have a great summer and see you in September.

The July practice schedule is up on the website under the schedules tab.  The schedule is for everyone in the Elite and Y/N groups heading to: Provincials, Age Group Nationals, Senior Nationals and BC Summer Games.

 

Everyone in Elite and Y/N not going to any of the following meets, your last day is Tuesday July 3.

284 [PGBSC Blog] officials needed for BC AA LC Championships in Victoria

Folks,  I wanted to pass along this opportunity for Officials to learn away from our own pool in the Commonwealth Pool in Victoria.  This is the best pool set up in BC and a great club to work with.  I always offer up my time for them because they are great hosts and I have been lucky enough to be the recipient of past prize draws and the heat sheets are a big savings.  Nice perks for a little volunteer time.  Please read below.

As you may know, PCS will be hosting the BC AA LC Championships in Victoria on June 22-24, 2012. It is often difficult to find officials for meets at this time of the year and this meet is no exception.  Any help you might be able to provide in linking us to your parent volunteers would be greatly appreciated.  In exchange, we offer on-pool access to the swimmers, free heat sheets for the entire meet, volunteer prize draws, great company, and our unending gratitude. This is a good meet for new stroke and turn and other officials to gain some experience at.

The days and times of the sessions are as follows:

Friday, June 22nd:

Heats - 8 am warm-up, 9 am start

Finals - 4 pm warm-up, 5 pm start

Saturday, June 23rd:

Heats - 8 am warm-up, 9 am start

Finals - 4 pm warm-up, 5 pm start

Sunday, June 24th:

Heats - 8 am warm-up, 9 am start

Finals - ~3:30 pm warm-up, ~4:30 pm start

Officials meetings will take place in the lower lobby area 1/2 hour before the start of each session.

This email is for everyone going to Kamloops this weekend.

 

We will be having a practice tomorrow in Kamloops.

Hi everyone.  This message is for everyone attending the Kamloops swim meet this weekend.

 

Below are the warm up times for this weekend. 

 

Kamloops warm up times on deck this weekend are:

 

Prelim warm ups:

12 & under 7am to 7:35am

13 & over 7:35am to 8:15am

Start 8:30am

Finish 12:30pm 10 and under estimate / 1:30pm all other estimate

 

Finals warm ups:

4-4:50pm

Start 5pm

Finish 8pm estimate

 

Therefore everyone is to be on deck 20 minutes prior to the above times.

 

I have yet to hear from the Kamloops club about practice times for tomorrow evening.  I am hoping to hear from them by the time I finish practice tonight.  In which case, I will send out one more email tonight.

 

The club is leaving for Kamloops tomorrow morning at 9:45am from the Aquatic Centre.
