The Prince George Barracudas Swim Club will hold its Annual General Meeting Wednesday November 15, 2017 at 6:30 pm in the Northwood Room at the Prince George Aquatic Centre. All members are invited and encouraged to attend. The PGBSC board of directors wishes to inform the membership of the following slate of candidates for election to the PGBSC board of directors at the 2017 AGM: Registrar: Kelly Esopenko Fundraising Director: Louis Vertue Travel & Meet Director: Marilyn King Director of Officials: Vacant Nominations for all Directors positions listed above, may be made in writing to the Secretary (email: secretary@pgbsc.org) by any two Voting Members with the consent of the nominee. Nominations will be called from the floor prior to the elections at the AGM.

Reminder: New and Returning Member Registration is today from 5-7:30 pm at the Four Season's Pool. Please bring your registration confirmation with you, once registration is confirmed you will be able to pick you your childs Barracuda t-shirt and cap. If your child is planning to swim this season and you haven't completed their registration yet please do so today. Online registration will open to new swimmers tonight, and some groups will reach their maximum limits quickly. Regular practices schedules start tomorrow, registration and Swim BC fees must be paid before your child can start swimming with the club. Master's swimmers do not need to attend tonights's registration. See you tonight! PGBSC

PGBSC Families Online registration is open for all returning swimmers, and our regular practices start on Friday September 8th for all groups other than Master's and Swim School which begin in October. Your child must be registered and Swim BC fees paid before they can start swimming. We will be having our registration night on Thursday September 7th from 5-7:30 pm at the Four Seasons Pool, this is when you can pick up team gear. Thank you

Barracuda Families: I hope everyone had a wonderful summer; it’s hard to believe September is just around the corner. I just wanted to give everyone some information on the 2017-2018 registration that will be starting shortly. As in previous years all registrations will be done online, and this must be completed before your child can start swimming. Online registration will open to returning swimmers on Thursday August 24^th. At that time we welcome you to log into your account and register your child for the upcoming swim season. You should have received an email in June with the group your child will be in for the 2017-2018 season. In addition please take a few minutes to update all your personal information, including credit card numbers, expiry dates, as well as cell phone numbers and email addresses. It is very important that we have accurate contact information address for families. During the registration process you will be asked to choose if you would like your payments to be charged monthly, semi-annually or annually. Please ensure the correct drop down box is selected, the system will default to annual payments if nothing is chosen, which will create problems on October 1^{s t} when fees are collected. We will be holding both new and returning member registration on Thursday September 7^that the Four Seasons Pool from 5:00-7:30 pm. At this time we will need you to provide the payment confirmation email/invoice that you received after your child was successfully registered that confirms for me that all Swim BC and Registration fees have been paid, as well as pick up your t-shirt and cap from Kris. All registration fees must be paid before your child can start swimming. If you wish to pay your fees with cheques you will need to provide these at registration, along with post-dated cheques for the remaining club fees. The cheque for registration fees will be processed immediately and club fees will start October 1^st. Please date the 10 cheques for the first of each month from October to June if you wish to pay monthly. October 1^st and January 1^st for semi-annual payments and October 1^st for annual fees. The fee schedule is on the website, along with the 2017-2018 practice calendars. If you don’t pick up your shirt and cap on September 7^th, it will be your responsibility to make arrangements with Kris Lewington to get it at a later date. We are trying to streamline the registration process and make it easier for everyone. Practices start on Friday September 8^th at the Four Season’s Pool, please check the schedule to see when your group swims. The first session of Swim School starts on October 16^th and Master’s start on Wednesday October 11^th at the Aquatic Centre. If anyone would like to help out on registration night, I would love some volunteers, please email me if you would be able to help out for a couple of hours on September 7^th.
