The Prince George Barracudas Swim Club will hold its Annual General Meeting Tuesday October 18, 2016 at 7:00 pm in the Northwood Room at the Prince George Aquatic Centre. All members are invited and encouraged to attend. The PGBSC board of directors wishes to inform the membership of the following slate of candidates for election to the PGBSC board of directors at the 2016 AGM: President: Michael Moran Vice-President: Kerim Ozcan Secretary: Karen Lange Treasurer: Sheila Nelson Other nominations for the Directors positions listed above, may be made in writing to the Secretary (mail: secretary@pgbsc.org) by any two Voting Members with the consent of the nominee. SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 2016 HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES

Did you graduate from High School in 2016?
Are you planning to start further education this fall?
Did you swim with the Prince George Barracudas?

If you answered yes to those 3 questions, check out the PGBSC scholarship opportunities!

The application deadline has been extended until August 20^th, 2016, so it is not too late. Send your letter of interest to secretary@pgbsc.org

Some great news to pass on to everyone this am. Marilyn King and Kerim Ozcan are now Level 5 Officials! They have been in Kamloops this weekend testing for this level. Well done guys. Also, the 10 members who are down here racing are doing well with one day to go. One highlight, Tommy Brown from the D1 group crushed the 10 and under boys 100 fly yesterday with a time of 1:21.74. The previous time from 2003 by Devin Durrand was 1:28.53.

Reminder: The PGBSC executive has scheduled an open board meeting on Wednesday June 29, 2016 7:00pm in the Northwood Room at the PG aquatic Centre. All Club members are invited to attend. Please be advised that general membership participation in such meetings is for observation only. Any questions from observers can be submitted to the board secretary, in writing, in advance of the meeting. The board will consider questions as new business items and will be placed on the agenda and addressed as time permits. The executive reserves the right to address any board discussion items in the in-camera portion of the board meeting. The board will consider all questions and inform the membership, as the board deems necessary, as we move forward with enquires from the general membership.
