Hello PGBSC Families: The city currently has an online survey of its pool services. I think this might be of interest to the families and officials with the PGBSC. The survey is at http://princegeorge.ca/cityliving/recreation/aquatics/Pages/Default.aspx The City of Prince George is seeking citizen input on how it delivers aquatic services, one of the most popular local indoor recreational activities. The City has launched an online survey and is hosting a public open house to learn and collect feedback directly from residents. The City's 2016-18 corporate plan includes a focus on prioritizing service, recreation, and facility infrastructure needs and investments. The Aquatic Needs Assessment will provide a thorough analysis specific to the needs for aquatic recreation services and programming. This assessment will incorporate public feedback and will assist the City in making short and long-term capital and operating decisions. Public input can be made by completing the online survey and or attending the public meeting. PGBSC has engaged legal assistance moving forward with this project. The PGBSC board invites feedback from the general membership regarding revisions to the existing Constitution and Bylaws. The executive of the PGBSC wishes to inform the membership that a motion was passed at the May 4, 2016 board meeting regarding swim meet sponsorship subsidies. For the 2015- 2016 swim season, the Club will be allocating funding to swimmers attending Mel Zajac International Swim meet. The financial sponsorship subsidy will be allocated in the amount of $150.00 and will be applied to applicable swimmers accounts. Swim meet sponsorship subsidies pertain to the 2015-16 season only and will be revisited on a seasonal basis.

The PGBSC executive has scheduled an open board meeting on Wednesday June 29, 2016 7:00pm in the Northwood Room at the PG aquatic Centre. All Club members are invited to attend. Please be advised that general membership participation in such meetings is for observation only. Any questions from observers can be submitted to the board secretary, in writing, in advance of the meeting (secretary@pgbsc.org). The board will consider questions as new business items and will be placed on the agenda and addressed as time permits. The executive reserves the right to address any board discussion items in the in-camera portion of the board meeting. The board will consider all questions and inform the membership, as the board deems necessary, as we move forward with enquires from the general membership.
